About us
We're a student-run consulting group at USC that works with healthcare organizations on real business and operational challenges. Our teams conduct research, analyze data, and develop recommendations for each client, all at no cost.
SCHCG was founded as USC's first student-run healthcare consulting organization. Since then, we've worked with healthcare organizations across multiple projects, with clients returning to work with our teams again.
Our project teams bring together students across business, medicine, engineering, policy, and other disciplines. That range of expertise lets us approach healthcare problems from multiple perspectives.
We provide every client with research, analysis, and actionable recommendations at no cost. For our members, that means working on real healthcare challenges with real organizations and delivering work that gets used.

Recruitment
We recruit once a semester. You don't need consulting experience and you don't need to be a business major.
An overview of our project work, how teams are put together, and what we ask of members. Held online. Just show up, no sign-up.
The same session again, in case the first one clashed with your schedule.
Our last session before applications close. Come with questions.
A short written application. No consulting background, no resume gymnastics, no cover letter.
A behavioral conversation. Come ready to talk about your experiences, why you're interested in healthcare, and why SCHCG.
A chance to meet members from across the club in a relaxed setting between the two interview rounds.
A short case. We send prep material out beforehand because we would rather you do well than be surprised.
Offers go out, and new members get put on a live client project almost immediately.
Membership
Every applicant is considered for both, so there is a place for you either way. General meetings are Mondays, 7 to 8 PM.
Analysts join a client-facing project team and work with that team to deliver the final project for the client. You attend the Monday general meeting and your team's own weekly meeting, and you have access to every guest speaker event and mentorship opportunity.
Applicants not selected as an Analyst can still join as an Associate. Associates are not placed on a client team, but you work through an internal group case project and keep full access to guest speaker events and mentorship opportunities.
